Our story

It doesn’t seem right to tell you were we are until you know where we have been.
I was born and raised in southern Ontario Canada. The art of “growing” has always been strong in my family. My childhood home was surrounded in a two acer perennial garden. Mom could always be found in the gardens tending the blooms, planing, reworking and fussing at the weeds. My grandparents were farmers. Growing up, there was nothing better than getting to take grandpa his lunch on the tractor, then back to house tend the gardens. They always had an amazing vegetable garden, but their pride and joy were the flowers. To this day I can picture the smiles on their faces by the scent of a rose, or the perfect bloom of a dahlia.

Hello we are Mark and Valerie Tolley, we have a tiny farm in the mountains of western North Carolina.

Meet farmer Caley. Every time Caley’s hands are in the dirt there is a smile on her face that lights up the world. It doesn’t matter if it is planting seed trays, weeding or planting the “babies” there is always a smile and a giggle, makes a mom’s heart just soar.

Little Mr. Forrest keeps us all on our toes, we will soon be adding two more Wren and Rhett . As the proud G.G. I’m trying hard not to share a 101 pictures. I do have to say our not so little family has been the most amazing gift. I can’t forget to introduce Jasmine or Jaz for short, our great dane mastiff mix, and Sweetpea. Sweetpea was kind enough to choose us as her family, and has given her self the title of welcoming committee.

Family makes all the difference.
